The Douarnenez’ association Treizour (Brittany, France) has just launched a participating and educational shipbuilding project. We aim to build the first replica of a traditional sailing pilchard drifter. Thousands of those boats were navigating all along the coast of South Brittany at the dawn of the 20th century. They have now completely disappeared and have never been rebuilt.
